About the Blog

The goal for this blog is to provide a doorway into the past through cooking. My approach is very user-friendly for even the inexperienced cook-I have a small kitchen and believe it or not, museum studies is not a high paying profession, so common sense and creativity are of the essence. Every few weeks, I will post a new entry exploring a particular food or recipe from both a historical and culinary angle. I will also from time to time draw on my wealth of gifted friends who will appear as guest chefs and assistants. I eagerly welcome feedback, ideas,  and questions as we go!
